Whether you are new to “natural” and “organic” cosmetics or you are a green beauty veteran, you probably already know RMS Beauty, at least because of the wonderful work of Rose Marie Swift. Every time I stumble into a fashion campaign that she has worked on or a Gisele red carpet event, I cannot help but to stare at the talent demonstrated. I will say that I am just as amazed by her makeup line. I have accumulated quite a collection of the little frosted pots over the last couple of years but up until recently I had not tried any of the cream eye shadows. To be honest, I’ve come across very few reviews on them and from what I gather their eye shadows seem notorious for creasing. For someone who has extremely oily eyelids, you can see why I hesitated. But considering the gorgeous colour selection, I bit the bullet and bought my first RMS Beauty eye shadow or, as the company calls it, cream eye polish in 'Myth'. The shade is just gorgeous; it’s the perfect eye shimmer for evenings out (the colour is a minky brown- with just a hint of shimmer). I am not one for sparkles, but the slight sheen of RMS eye polish brightens and adds dimension to the eyelids. I have small eyes, and this helps open them up and make my eyes look bigger. Now the texture certainly isn’t the best here – it takes a combination of a brush and my fingers to make it look even – but the longevity is better than most cream shadows I've tried. Note: These do crease a bit after a few hours of wear, as they do not dry down and set--so if you have oily lids I would recommend these only for short-term wear or perhaps in conjunction with the RMS Beauty "Un" Powder.
