I like to keep everything simple and my makeup bag is most certainly the least jam packed area of my beauty routine. I have a few variations of different products but push come to shove it could all fit into one medium sized makeup bag (excluding brushes of course!). I've put together my capsule makeup bag featuring the products out of everything else that I reach for the most.. this is my average look if I'm including all the steps but day to day I leave out at least 3 of the products shown above.
Pai Rosehip Oil: My all-time favourite skincare necessity because it promotes a clear complexion - no matter the season.
Gressa Serum Foundation: The best green foundation EVER. That being said, I don’t like a full face of foundation (looks too artificial/made up to me) for daily wear, and instead, only use it on the rare occasion that I need a bit more coverage.
RMS "Un" Cover-Up: Perfect for little blemishes, under my eyes and around my nose. I actually have this in a couple of different shades as I like to use a lighter colour to brighten up underneath my eyes and a darker colour to conceal blemishes. It covers well without leaving that heavy cake look. I also love that this can be applied as little or as much as I like, to be treated as a concealer or a foundation depending on your mood (and skin!).
Hynt Mascara: Favourite mascara, ever. Excellent non-flaking formula, perfect wand, perfect consistency. Enough said.
Surratt Eye Lash Curler: This is hands down the best eyelash curler that I've ever owned. It curls all of my lashes (including those tiny ones at the corner) at one go and hugs my lash line perfectly. Most days I don’t even bother with mascara, so a quick 5 second eyelash curl is just amazing for me. It opens up my eyes, and looks as if I’ve applied mascara.
Eyebrow Brush: My eyebrows are a little unruly, so they need taming daily. This is my best friend.
Ilia Illuminator in Sway: Sway is great for contouring. It just slides onto your skin giving your whole face a healthy glow – with no danger of you looking orange! I apply it beneath my cheek bones and blend it upwards with my fingers. Sometimes I will also pop it onto my eyelids for subtle definition.
RMS Lip2Cheek in 'Illusive': Illusive is the perfect fall/winter shade. I use it on my cheeks and lips and carry it in my purse to reapply midday. So easy and so pure!
RMS Living Luminizer: This highlighter makes my face come alive. I use it on the bridge of my nose, on top of my cupid’s bow, and along the tops of my cheekbones for that "lit from within" look, even on days when I’m not wearing much else on my face.
Bite Beauty Everyday Agave Lip Balm: This lip balm just does its job, plain and simple. It's a lighter, travel-friendly version of the original Agave Lip Mask (which is my holy grail lip balm - I can't go a night without it!). It is very hydrating without any sticky feeling, and leaves the lips feeling soft and supple. I also love that it comes in a stick so I don't have to use my fingers to apply it when I'm out and about.
Maya Chia Waterless Wonder Balm: This balm is the ultimate multi-tasker. You can use it for anything! Your lips, hands, cuticles, elbows and heels, and even to tame frizzy hair or flyaways. I always have it with me in my bag.
Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator: This is my hydrating secret weapon.. I carry the travel size bottle with me everywhere and mist it on anytime I need a little pick-me-up. It smells so good and immediately gives your skin a little boost!
What do you keep in your makeup bag? Let me know below, I'm always nosy and like to know what other people are using!
